A federal appeals court says
the Grand Junction Colorado police department and cop Glenn Coyne, could have
done a better job of dealing with a cop accused of raping a woman, but it is
affirming a ruling that she hasn't shown that the officer's supervisors should
be held liable for the alleged attack. Coyne responded to the woman’s 911 call in 2009 about an altercation, then heraped her during a visit the next night.
Coyne committed suicide days later. He
had been accused of sexual assault before.
